In order to summarize the company performance in the last year and make a plan of this year, our company organized an activity of team building on last Saturday.
With great enthusiasm and curiosity, we got on the bus towards the place. The site of activity looked like a military camp. We put on the uniform and it felt like we went back to school days. There were various interesting and meaningful group games during it. Every game seemed to be a challenge to us, which we never tried before and were eager to put ourselves in. It felt very fresh and exciting. However, with games comes competitions. Obviously every member wanted to win. Someone wins and there'll must be a loser. No one wants to be that loser. All we have to do is to keep competitive and not to be afraid of challenge. One of my favorite basketball player Kobe once said ‘Somebody has to win, so why not be me?’.
What gave me the deepest impression was a game about catching bottle. The rule is: one has to throw the bottle in the air and the next one need to catch it. That was not as easy as it sounded. 12 memebers in a circle and throw the bottle to the next one at the same time. So you have to transfer your concentration very speedily from a bottle to another, it is called success only when every member catchs the bottle six times of continues. It's about tacit understanding and agility of members. Oh that was super difficult for us that we were keep trying all the time but we never succeeded even one time! Even so, we didn't give up to the end, we tried over and over again. Even if we didn't achieve success eventually, no one could deny that everybody participated in the games very actively and did their best with no effort spared. All members from the company gathered strength like never ever before. Even if it's raining throughout the day, our enthusiasm was not dampened at all. And what shocked me largely was the competitive spirit of my colleagues. Competitiveness is a great capacity for all businessmen like us.
The activity became more like a ceremony in the afternoon, which allowed us to review our performance in the last year and set a higher goal for this year. All of us were so energetic. Standed on the stage and shouted out the annal target of us, everybody seemed to be confident to their sales performance of this year. This is an appointment with ourselves. I have a great faith in every trojan fights for the company will strive for their target untill it comes true.
Shared the most proud moment in the life.
To test our endurance by doing a martial-art squat.
The annal sales target of this team is $12 million.
The most exciting moment we were expecting all the time came in the end--An award ceremony! The boss came to give trophy and prizes to those excellent staff in person. It's the greatest honor for who standed on the stage and were given the awards. Riotous smile appeared on every face.
It was a tiring day, but we really got a lot from the activity. We knew each other better and understood how to cooperate together more efficiently. The meaning of persistence for a person is clearer in our mind. I believe that we will be a even more terrific team in the coming days!
